I tested this in two different vehicles over 4 or 5 days and it didn’t budge in either vehicle. Good marks for stability. If you’ve only used suction cup windshield mounts before with a GPS this product puts the GPS a lot closer to you, so you won’t need to lean forward. Also, since it doesn’t use a suction cup anywhere in the design of the product, this product will never drop your GPS on a hot day!
I wasn’t thrilled with the cost, it seems a touch high for a beanbag and a plastic arm, but now I see that the arm mates to an adjustable pivot in the base and it is pretty well engineered.
Overall, this one is a keeper!
UPDATE:
After using this mount on my dash for a couple of weeks I decided the dash needed dusting. Once I cleaned off the dust I noticed that the mount had left a slight “stain” type mark on the dash. The color of the dash where the mount was had darkened enough to tell where the mount had been placed. I suspect plasticizers in the soft material on the bottom of the mount are migrating. I’ll be VERY careful about leaving the mount on my dash for long periods of time!

Cheapest Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera
I finally broke down and replaced my old 6.2 MP Digital Rebel. This is a huge upgrade and I got a pretty good price here on Amazon. I would consider myself an advanced amateur photographer, fully capable of taking both beautiful and miserable pictures. Either way, it’s quite fun with this new camera.
Here’s the good:
I’ve never had an IS lens before and the 18-55mm lens with the kit is very good. You do get at least a couple of extra stops easily. You can do a lot of shooting indoors in low light and get some nice results.
The high resolution screen is great for viewing the menu screens and for previewing pictures. You can see it clearly outdoors, which was laughable on the old Digital Rebel.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 Digital Camera
Simply a great camera. The videos and stills are both excellent. I agree with the common dislikes of other reviews; need more manual controls, mode selector wheel moves to easily, software could be better. However, these are all pretty minor issues for me, and probably most people.
I bought this hoping to replace both my old digital camera, and video camera. I believe I was successful. I took a 2 1/2 week trip, took plenty of videos and photos, and the results were fantastic. I didn’t have to lug around 2 devices, and Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 Digital Camera is very pocketable.
My only complaint was the battery would not last a complete day. But this was a heavy sight seeing trip with lots of video and pictures. I tried to order an extra battery before my trip, but they were back ordered everywhere. Since the trip, I haven’t had a battery issue, so I still don’t have an extra.
